ACHEMA 2015, international forum for the process industry, closed its doors on Friday in Frankfurt. Over five days, more than 3,800 exhibitors presented their products and innovations for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries to more than 150,000 international visitors.
For us as a LIMS provider, the fair offered an excellent platform for intensive partner search. From conversations with laboratory equipment suppliers, we were able to gain interesting contacts, but also gain insight into future developments. Many of the laboratory suppliers see a change in the laboratory! While the complete equipment used to consist of laboratory technology and hardware, in the future, integrated software will also be part of it. We want to contribute to this development and establish iLIMS as part of a complete laboratory equipment together with a competent partner.
A particularly important contact that we would like to personally introduce at this point is the founder and owner of LAN (lab automation network), Martin Winter. The network he founded is a coalition of leading providers for customized laboratory automation, which places special emphasis on the use of the best technologies and outstanding quality. With iLIMS, we were able to convince Mr. Winter that we have developed laboratory software at the highest technological standard. In addition to the integration possibilities of commercial modules, iLIMS stands out particularly due to extremely flexible configuration options without additional programming effort compared to the competition. Not least for this reason, iLIMS was awarded the Innovationspreis IT by the Initiative Mittelstand at the beginning of the year.
With regard to a successful partnership with Lab Automation Network, the implementation of a joint pilot project was planned at Achema. Following this, we want to discuss the further cooperation between LAN and CSS LIMS.
